Luis Allen - Founder & CEO

Luis Allen founded Gambol Fitness in the fall of 2015. He has over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, many of those years working in the New York/New Jersey area with some of the largest and most reputable fitness companies in the country. Luis has two areas of expertise in the industry. First, he is a proven leader in sales, leading national sales for companies such as Bally Total Fitness and Crunch Fitness. Second, Luis has proven excellence in gym and sales management becoming know as a fitness facility "fixer" in the New York metro area lending his consultation abilities to turn failing fitness facilities into some of the most successful in the area.

Maryam Bakht - President

Maryam brings a range of experience from outside of the fitness industry to shape and wellness services and approach to client relations.  Maryam holds a PhD in Linguistics from NYU with a specialization in language and identity and sociolinguistics and has taught University students for 20 years. This time was integral to the formation of the ideologies and beliefs that Maryam developed as a mentor and coach. Her background in yoga and meditation adds additional richness to her approach to personal training and to the ways that Gambol Fitness approaches the overall holistic health of its clients.
